I m back from Break Id!!
School of Design and Environment camp (:

The name Break Id actually represents the whole SDE.

Special isn't it?

The camp wasn't as bad as I thought I will be initially. I was still thinking of backing out. Hehe.
Because I knew no one there, I was really afraid I will end up as a pathetic loner.

I was in URSA!
Not those super enthu kind. But very motherly/fatherly OGLs.
Initially, my group wasn't very enthusiatic. And I believe my OGLs kind of like give up on us and don't really want to bother about us. But I am glad that at the end of the whole camp, my group wasn't like that anymore. We are a group of super high people, laughing like nobody's business.
Though, we didn't win any of the awards, I believe everyone in our group enjoyed. And I think our OGLs are impressed by our performance. The super quiet group-->Super high group ((:
The main reason I enjoyed the camp was all because of them.

So now, let me introduce my room mates

Gui Rong (: The ever so animated, so funny girl.
Next is Glyn!!

We are known as the "xiao mei" Cos we always stick together and there are these 3 existing students who are like that too. And they are known as the "xiao mei"

Will always remember our Indian gang with the weird Indian accent, the Yegg, the "come on I know you can do it" and many many more jokes. Those were the fond memories we had together.

And this is our room in Eusoff Hall. Very small and warm room.

First day was basically introduction and interaction, which includes ice breaker games and amazing race around NUS, so that we will get to know NUS better.
And this ice breaker named "Ouch ouch ohbee ohbee" left me a deep impression. Basically, this game involves hitting, pinching and shouting ouch. I will remember this game because I was left with bruises and blood clot on my thighs. All because of a guy. Eh. It wasn't on purpose so no hard feelings like what all the OGLs said(: When he got to know that his hittings cause me and my friend to have bruises, he was deeply sorry. Haha.
I left in the evening for my Spanish lesson. So I missed out FATE, which is meeting my secret pals, where we will be blindfolded and get to chat with each other. Heard that they got to feed each other with oranges with butter. Quite gross.


Second day

I joined them only on the second morning. I missed out half of the first activity. Not really the first activity cos the night activity is somewhat linked. In this game we got to solve a murder case.
In the morning, we get to interview all the prime suspects.
And at night, it is the fright night, where the victim, Pretty Priscila appears and leave us with clues.
For fright night, we are re-grouped. I was in group 1. New group of people, all over again. But slowly get to know them. I was in the same group as Vel who used to be in Damai.
Before the start of the fright night, a short clip which shows this person being possessed, is shown to us. Luckily, it was in Malay at least I wont understand much. haha.

There are a total of 7 stations. The toilet, the staircase, the tunnel, the architecture room, staff room and the library. I think the scariest one is the staircase where I gotta walk down 3 levels of dark staircase and apply powder on "Pretty" who was lying on the table and covered with a black cloth. It was damn funny. I actually applied the powder on the wrong person. I applied it on the "nurse". Haha. And that nurse is my OGL la. She was controlling her laughter when she saw me doing that. Luckily for this station, I was accompanied by this brave Chinese guy. If not I will faint.
Other than that I wasn't really scared. Not like the usual me. Maybe I was too tired to think about it. Haha.

There is a lot of waiting for this game. A loong loong wait to get to your turn. But overall this game is well planned, appreciate the efforts put in by the seniors.


Third day is pool games. My group Uria (combine Ursa and Aria) won the Mahjong game!!!
This is followed by FATE at night. I finally gotta meet my SPs. They are Grape, Gucci and Hong Kong. Nice ppl. And I m Somerset(: I also found out that Grape is from MJ. The pioneer batch. Through chatting with them I found out that grape is also from Uria and then finally I found out who is grape. But still dont really know who is Gucci and Hong Kong.

We then got this last minute news that we gotta put up a skit- Singlish. Hmmm. This skit is mainly put up by Ursa cos the other team was quite reluctant. This is when our OGLs are impressed by us. We stood up till late night to discuss about the skit. At first we planned not the sleep but our OGLs stopped us. They were like saying if we don't sleep they won't go back to sleep too. Nice OGLs. But in the end we also end up talking throughout the night in the room not sleeping too. Haha.

At this point of time, I think the effect of fright night comes in. Something that I will always rmr. Me, Gui rong, Glyn and Peijing went to the toilet before the start of the discussion. We get to walk up a staircase which brings back bad memories we had at the staircase station. At first we were like reluctant to go up the stairs but in the end we did cause it is just a short flight of stairs. So we went up. Then comes the toilet. Another station that we went for the fright night. We were all very scared. So Glyn went in first. She screamed when she entered the toilet. So the other 3 thought that she saw..... so we hurriedly ran down the stairs screaming. HAHAHAHAHAHA. We din stop cause Glyn was also running down behind us. But guess what she only saw a lizard dropping down from the ceiling. And she was trying to run after us to tell us that. What a toilet trip man. HAHAHA.

Before the planning starts, we went for SUPPER at the prata shop. The nice OGLs were supposed to go back to sleep but they stayed awake to send us there to ensure our safety. And I mean really just to see us there cos they won't there to take any supper.


Fourth day is Sentosa day.
We also had Prata for breakfast. Thanks to YK for the treat, he went all the way to the shop to get it for us.
These are my SPs and my FATE OGL.
We had a candlelight dinner together. Haha. And not forgetting gift exchange. I got a small box of chocolate from Jonathan aka Grape. And mine is given to Bee hua aka Hong Kong (the one above me) (:

And finally finale. Our skit wasnt perfect. But I felt that the finale for our skit which is a special song dedication for our OGLs. We sang for them. *I think we can form a sing group right? the Indian gang* I believe they are really touched. And we saw jealous faces of the other OGLs.

Overall I had FUN!! Didn't regret going for it ((:
